The Swedish tour operator Apollo is going to launch the Malaysian island Langkawi as a new destination next winter with a direct flight. This will probably happen even before Malaysian Airlines will reopen its non stop line KL-Stockholm. Hopefully this might be a start to open and widen the traditional Swedish tour traveling a bit.
Langkawi is situated on the Malaysian west coast very close to the Thailand boarder and is famous for the number of water sports you can do here as well as the tax free shopping.
